Former MLB player found alive after nightclub tragedy as he was saved by his former teammate

Earlier this week a tragedy took place in the Dominican Republic as the roof of Jet Set Night Club collapsed taking the lives of many but one former MLB player, Esteban German, was saved by his former teammate.
News broke Tuesday morning that former Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Octavio Dotel was at the club when the ceiling came down and was one of 27 individuals that passed away that morning.

Details regarding the tragedy has been coming out all week and it looks like Dotel was not the only former MLB player at the even as Both Esteban German and Tony Blanco were also in attendance.
German told the media that he survived the incident because of his former teammate Blanco who saw the roof collapsing and pushed him out of the way but unfortunately Blanco lost his life that morning as well.
Former MLB player Esteban Germán told me that at the time of the collapse in Jet Set, he was returning from the bathroom and, before sitting down at the table, Tony Blanco pushed him when he realized part of the ceiling was about to fall on him.
Unfortunately, Blanco didn't suffer the same fate as Germán and died seconds later.

As more information continues to come out, the entire world has been in shock over the disaster that took place in the Dominican Republic as many lives were unfortunately lost that morning.
The entire baseball community has been in mourning this tragedy and wishing their thoughts and condolences to the families affected.
