The MLB trade deadline is officially two weeks away and as the Blue Jays sit 9.5 games out of a Wild Card spot, meaning they will likely end up sellers at the deadline.
It seems like the players are starting to see the writing on the wall as the deadline approaches and their future in Toronto is uncertain. Pitcher Yusei Kikuchi told reporters the entire situation stresses him out but knows all he can do is prepare as his future is completely out of his hands.
Vlad Jr. on the trade deadline: "Right now we're good. I mean, that's not up to us. The only thing we can control is just to go out there and do the best we can."
Yusei Kikuchi: «It's totally out of my hands, so all I can do is prepare.»
Fans will be disappointed to see Kikuchi leave but it is pretty much guaranteed they will move him as he is in the last year of his contract and has gained a lot of interest from other teams.
