Dillon Tate has passed his physical with Blue Jays, industry source tells @bnicholsonsmith and me. Deal pays Tate $1.4m on a split contract, with bonuses of $50K at 45 and 50 games.
The Blue Jays signed Tate to help with their current bullpen issues as both Erik Swanson and Ryan Burr are dealing with some injuries that will keep them out for the start of the season.
Tate only played in 4 games for the Blue Jays last season finishing with some below average numbers which is why it will be interesting to see how he ends up doing for them this season.
