If Guerrero decides to agree to this contract, this would make him the third highest paid player in MLB history with only Juan Soto and Shohei Ohtani ahead of him as both of their contracts were $7000 million and above.
While fans might believe that this is an over-pay for Guerrero, it has been made clear that at this point, the only way to get Guerrero to avoid going to free agency is by paying him just as much if not more than he would get in the off--season.
It will be interesting to see if this new offer is finally enough to get him to stay in Toronto.
