Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider has a few interesting decisions to make heading into the start of the 2025 season but none bigger than who will be the team's leadoff hitter this season.

The Blue Jays brought in some additional power this off-season when they signed free agent slugger Anthony Santander to a five year deal worth $92.5 million but are still without a solid leadoff hitter.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider needs to find a leadoff hitter for the start of the season

One of the biggest question marks regarding the Blue Jays lineup heading into the 2025 season is who will be their leadoff hitter since last season went quite terribly for veteran George Springer.
Springer has been arguably one of the best leadoff hitter of all-time throughout his career but showed clear signs of decline last season as he was one of the Blue Jays worst hitter.
Due to his past, apart from last season of course, the Blue Jays might end up giving the spot to Springer at the start of the year but if things start off slow, he will likely lose his spot.
The rest can figure itself out easily enough, but nothing else can be decided until the Blue Jays write George Springer's name into the lineup. Will they give the veteran another crack at leading off, which he's done for most of his career? -Matheson

The Blue Jays do have two other interesting options in rookies Will Wagner and Alan Roden who has put up great numbers as lead off hitters and if they end up making the team could end up taking George Springer's spot.
Keep Will Wagner (No. 18 prospect) and Alan Roden (No. 12) in mind, two young players capable of reaching base at a high clip ahead of Bo Bichette, Guerrero and Anthony Santander. -Matheson

Clearly Springer does not have much left in him in terms of offense which is why the Blue Jays need to Strongly consider moving him down the lineup next season if they want to win more games.
