Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider has stayed rather quiet throughout the off-season but finally stated what he believes the front office needs to add.

The Blue Jays have yet to make a big signing this off-season apart from a few minor league deals which is why they need to start making some serious moves before all the top players are signed.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider states exactly what he believes the team needs to add

Blue Jays manager John Schneider finally spoke for the first time this off-season and pointed out what he believes the front office should be targeting in terms of players.
Schneider stated that the team should be looking to add a player that can do some damage offensively that they can pair up with Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
Asked John Schneider what he'd like to see in an addition to the #BlueJays' lineup:

«Someone that can do damage. Having a threat, you want that around Vlad. We make a lot of contact, but we want a guy making a lot of quality contact, too. That stands out to me.»
The Blue Jays manager pointed out during his interview that they need to focus on bringing in offensive players and also players that are better base runners than they currently have.
John Schneider spoke directly (and well) about which areas the #BlueJays need to improve in and how, particularly on offence.

He repeatedly focused on power and better base running, which sound like wise ways to complement the club's heavy focus on contact.
Clearly many fans agree with Schneider as they have been vocal online of the Blue Jays needing to add some power hitters to their lineup as only having one threat is no enough to go deep in the playoffs.
Hopefully the front office is listening and they get a few deals done this off-season that could help the team offensively.
