Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr has been named a finalist for a Silver Slugger award after the incredible season he put together in 2024.
Guerrero has an unbelievable season at the plate for a struggling Blue Jays team who could never seem to find offense at the right moment despite Guerrero consistency at the plate game in and game out.

Guerrero put together an impressive offensive season with 30 homeruns to go along with 103 RBIs and 199 hits in 2024 which is why he has been named a Silver Slugger finalist.
The Blue Jays first baseman has been named with two other players which include Cleveland Guardians Josh Naylor and Minnesota Twins Carlos Santana who was just named a Gold Glove winner.
Guerrero, who hit 30 homers and drove in 103 runs last season, was nominated at first base with Carlos Santana of the Minnesota Twins and Canadian Josh Naylor of the Cleveland Guardians. - The Canadian Press
Despite three players being named, it looks like it will end up being between Naylor and Guerrero who are both Canadian as Naylor hit 31 homeruns this season along with 108 RBIs for the Guardians in 2024.
Naylor, from Mississauga, Ont., led all AL first basemen with 31 homers and 108 RBIs. Santana hit 23 homers and drove in 71 runs.- The Canadian Press
Guerrero has won the Silver Slugger award in the past as he was nominated as the winner back in 2021 when he put together the best season of his career up until this year.
Every manager in the league and 3 coaches will all place their votes in the coming days and a winner will be announced on November 12th.
