Toronto Blue Jays Chris Bassitt makes interesting comments on team's hitting slump

The Toronto Blue Jays offense has been horrendous lately and starting pitcher Chris Bassitt spoke on the issue after last night's loss.
The Blue Jays started the season firing on all cylinders but have since slowed down in a major way as they have been outscored by quite a bit over the last few games and cannot seem to hit a homerun.

The Blue Jays are on the verge of getting swept against the Houston Astros after another loss last night in which Bassitt said he was not pleased with how he pitched giving up 7 hits and 4 earned runs.

"Unfortunately, my pitching style, you're going to give up a lot of those weak contact hits, you just hope they don't string them together the way they did"

Bassitt also spoke on the Blue Jays lack of offense lately stating that the team needs to finish the month of April on a high and thinks that if they can face a couple bad pitchers, it would help.

This is an interesting comment since opposing teams will not go out of their way to put their worst pitcher on the mound to help the Blue Jays slump out but it seems like that's what Bassitt is hoping for.
