Blue Jays hire Justin Lehr from the San Francisco Giants to oversee minor league pitching
The Blue Jays announced this afternoon that they have hired Justin Lehr to oversee their minor league pitching but the team has yet to announce his exact title with the organization.
The Blue Jays are hiring Justin Lehr to oversee their minor-league pitching, according to two industry sources. Not sure of exact title.
Lehr had been the Giants' pitching co-ordinator on the player-development side.
Lehr is headed to Toronto after being part of the San Francisco Giants organization where he took was the pitching coordinator when it came to the player development side of things.
After a year filled with injuries and disappointment in terms of the Blue Jays farm system pitchers, this move is likely in hopes that Lehr can help turn the farm systems pitching around.
Since the Blue Jays decided to make a ton of move when it comes to their coaches and staff at the end of the season, the still have a ton of spots to fill before Spring Training kicks off which is thankfully still months away.
Hopefully all these moves will make a difference as the Blue Jays look for a big turn around in 2025.
