The Toronto Blue Jays recently announced that they are having some injuries issues in their bullpen as both Erik Swanson and Ryan Burr are currently out.

The team announced that Swanson is dealing with an elbow injury that will likely keep him out for the start of the season while Burr on the other hand is still recovering from another injury but is not having problems with his shoulder.

The Blue Jays have a couple options to replace Erik Swanson and Ryan Burr

The Blue Jays made a lot of changes to their bullpen throughout the off-season but also brought some solid pitchers back such as Burr and Swanson but both now might not be ready for the start of the season.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider recently spoke on the subject with Ben Nicholson-Smith stating that there is now at least one job up for grabs in the bullpen.
Under those circumstances, there's an «open competition» for at least one job, according to manager John Schneider. -Nicholson-Smith

Schneider also added that the two main pitchers the team are looking is Zach Pop and Tommy Nance as the top candidates but he also mentioned that the team is looking at everyone.
«We'll see,» he said. «There are a lot of candidates. There are some guys that were on the team last year like Zach Pop (and) Tommy Nance. Those guys kind of jump at you.» -Schneider

With how things went last season for the Blue Jays bullpen, the fact that Nance and Pop are back in the conversation for a spot is worrying since both pitchers struggled immensely last season.
It will be interesting to see how the Blue Jays bullpen looks on Opening Day with all of these uncertanties.
