The Toronto Blue Jays seem to be moving for for the 2025 with current manager John Schneider but their could be the possibility of seeing a former player return such as Jose Bautista, Paull Monitor or even Mike Matheny.
If the Blue Jays decide to stay on course with Schneider for next season, he will likely be on a very short leash as he will not be able to start the season they did this past season, especially if the team ends up going to sign multiple big names such as Juan Soto.
Toronto could look into doing what the San Francisco Giants did this past season as they brought in former legendary catcher Buster Posey as the Blue Jays have a long list of great players that could step up to be the next manager.
The first being former legend Paul Molitor would was a crucial part of the 1993 World Series winning Blue Jays. Molitor would be a great fit as he knows what it takes to win as he won finals MVP in 1993 and did a solid job between 2015 and 20018 with the Minnesota Twins.
More importantly, many may have already forgotten that Molitor previously had a four-year stint as an MLB manager with the Minnesota Twins between 2015 to 2018. His biggest achievement came when he took a 103-loss Twins team from 2016 and brought them back into the postseason the very next season. -Eng
Another great option that would have fans going crazy in Jose Bautista even though he has not any experience managing, the former Blue Jays definitely knows baseball and has a serious passion for winning.
One main characteristic that makes Bautista a great candidate to lead the current squad is his strong desire and passion to win. Not to take anything away from any of the Jays' managers in the past few years, but none of them possessed the persona and energy that Bautista has for the game of baseball. -Eng
Finally there is Mike Matheny who played for the Blue Jays in the late 90's and went on to be a solid manager in recent years and taking the St Louis Cardinals to the World Series in 2013 but losing to the Boston Red Sox.
