The Blue Jays have officially called up Yariel Rodriguez
The Toronto Blue Jays have just announced that they have officially called up pitcher Yariel Rodriguez from Triple-A after an incredible start to the season.
Rodriguez started the season in Buffalo after an incredible Spring Training where he pitched 5 innings, striking 3 out, allowing 2 hits, 1 run and 3 walks.
The Cuban pitcher has followed up his impressive Spring Training by playing great for the Buffalo Bisons. In 6.1 innings, he has struck out 10 allowing 1 single hit, 3 walks and zero runs.
BREAKING: The Toronto Blue Jays are calling up Cuban right-hander Yariel Rodr�guez, per sources.
Yariel should be activated this Saturday.
His journey to the Big Leagues began a year ago and now he will be able to make it a reality.
The Toronto Blue Jays signed Rodriguez to a 5-year $32 million contract last winter in hopes that he would be a promising pitcher in the big leagues which we will finally get to see as he should be activated by Saturday.
