The Blue Jays called up pitcher Erik Swanson back from Triple-A two days ago and during an interview, Swanson had some interesting things to say about his situation this season.
Swanson spoke to reporters yesterday stating that when he was sent down to Buffalo in May, he thought it would be a short stint but it has taken him almost 2 months to return to the Majors. The pitcher said he thought it was just a bump in the road but it turned out be a very long road.
"I thought... OK, this is another bump in the road, but it's been a really long fucking road."
Erik Swanson is back where he belongs now, with the #BlueJays, after a season that's challenged him as a player and a person.
After having a tough start to the season in the MLB, it will be interesting to see how Swanson does now that he is back with the Blue Jays.
