The Blue Jays are expected to non-tender Dillon Tate releasing him to free agency
The Blue Jays claimed Dillon Tate off waiver from the Baltimore Orioles in late August of last season and after a short stint in Triple-A he was called up to the majors and ended up surpassing expectations.
Tate ended up only pitching 36.2 innings between Baltimore and Toronto last season as he finished with a 4.66 ERA and despite struggling a bit, the Blue Jays stated that he impressed them which is why most people expected him to be returning.
Another bullpen arm expected to be let go.

Blue Jays are expected to non-tender reliever Dillon Tate, source tells me & @ShiDavidi
Jays were intrigued by Tate late in the season, but he had a projected $1.9 million salary in arb via @mlbtraderumors
The Blue Jays have now cleared around $9.5 million in payroll space for free agency but now general manager Ross Atkins has to get to work and make all these moves worth it.
Hopefully the Blue Jays will be able to use this freed up space to bring in relief pitchers that can truly help their bullpen to being one of the best in the American League.
