they have been linked to a ton of pitchers and hitters and while pitching is their main concern, adding to their offense is right behind.
Report reveals the Blue Jays top targets in terms of hitters in free agency
At the top of the list, is of course Juan Soto who seems to be at the top of everyone's list since he is the number 1 free agent available even though many believe the Blue Jays will not be able to beat the New York Mets offer.

Soto, who on four occasions has finished in the top 10 in MVP voting, is coming off of a season with the New York Yankees in which he hit .288 with 41 home runs and 109 RBIs. If the Blue Jays are to somehow land him, they would immediately be viewed as World Series contenders. -Pankiw
Pete Alonso is another top option that the Blue Jays could look into and despite having a first baseman if Vladimir Guerreo Jr, there have been rumors that he is willing to return to third base if a first baseman is brought in.
The one point to consider is that Alonso, like Guerrero, is a first baseman. However, there have been reports suggesting the Blue Jays are considering moving Vladdy back to third base, which would then make Alonso a great fit. -Pankiw
The Blue Jays could also look into Anthony Santander who is coming off a career year but the risk with him is that most insiders believe he will not be able to reproduce his numbers from the 2024 season in the future.
Though Santander's batting average did drop to .235 in 2024, it isn't an issue to be concerned over, given that he put up 102 RBIs. Should the Jays miss out on Soto and Alonso, Santander would be a great consolation prize. -Pankiw
Alex Bregman is another player that the Blue Jays have been linked to but with Bregman reportedly wanting around $300 million, it might end up being an extremely costly move for the Blue Jays.
«The Blue Jays had marginal production from third base last season after letting Matt Chapman walk as a free agent, so Bregman would be a solid upgrade,» MLB.com's Mark Feinsand wrote in a recent column. -Pankiw
There is also Willy Adames, Teoscar Hernandez, Christian Walker, Tyler O'Neill, Gleyber Torres, Jurickson Profar and Paul Goldschmidt all of who the Blue Jays have been linked to this off-season.
