Following a tough loss last night to the Giants, manager John Schneider faced a lot of scrutiny after putting Trevor Richards in instead of Chad Green.
Richards had a tough night as he gave up 2 hits and 2 earned runs in .2 innings in which the Blue Jays blew a 3-2 lead and lost the game.
After the game, Schneider told reporters he could not put Green in since he has thrown 56 pitches in the last two days against the Mariners.
#BlueJays manager John Schneider said Chad Green was unavailable today after throwing 56 pitches in 2 days in Seattle
While Green likely did need a rest day, it is unfortunate that the Blue Jays are so desperate in their bullpen that they can only rely on one pitcher.
