Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Alek Manoah gave an update on his current recovery after missing the majority of the season due to a right elbow sprain.

Fans had high hopes for Alek Manoah heading into the 2024 season as they hoped they would see him return to the all-star pitcher he once was after an abysmal 2023 season.
Manoah started off the season dealing with an injury and returned to the Blue Jays in late April looking quite good putting up decent numbers and giving fans a ton of hope for the future. He would only go on to pitch 24.1 innings before being put on a shelf for the season due to a right elbow sprain. In that short amount of time, Manoah finished with a 3.70 ERA and 26 strikeouts.

Blue Jays pitcher Alek Manoah gives injury update

The Blue Jays pitcher has taken his time properly recovering this season and it looks like it has been good for him as he posted on social media an update of him working out which means his recovery is going well.
Alek Manoah has been putting in WORK.
Fans online seemed excited to see him back in the gym but were also quick to point out that if the team plans on competing next season they will need him to play better than what they saw last year and be at the top of his game.
But will he be able to return to form? The Jays are going to need him for the rebuild/retool/be better than last season.
If he loses weight I think he could be good again. I think the pitch clock killed him because he didn't have the stamina to throw that fast
Hopefully Manoah can get back to his form from a few years ago as the Blue Jays would benefit immensely from having another solid pitcher in their rotation.
