There was a stretch during the end of June and all of July where Jose Berrios looked completely lost on the mound for the Toronto Blue Jays, but something switched in August where he is making opposing hitters look silly.

The MLB has not announced the AL pitcher of the month yet but Berrios is 100% in the running. Even with his dominant play, he most probably will come runner up to his fellow teammate Bowden Francis who pitched out of his mind.
Berrios has brought his season ERA down to a 3.59, striking out 143 batters in 170.1 innings pitched and holding a record of 14-9.
It seems that everything is coming together for the Blue Jays right now but it has just come a little too late in the season. They are not mathematically out of the postseason yet, but everything will have to go their way for it to happen.
All they can do is keep winning at this rate and see how the other teams fair in the standings.
