Prior to the Blue Jays game against the Red Sox yesterday, manager John Schneider spoke to the media regarding outfielder George Springer.
Schneider told reporters he still believes in Springer and feels like he is a couple days away from getting hot. The Jays manager added that they are far from benching him and still have confidence in him.
John Schneider expressed his belief in George Springer, saying that he's "probably a couple days away from getting hot."
"I'm not nearly at the point of saying, «You're going to play three days a week.» George is George. We have confidence he's going to get it going.» #BlueJays
These comments come as a big surprise to most since Springer is currently having his worst season ever.
