There has been a few rumors going around this season that the Blue Jays might be sellers at this year's deadline which insider Ben Nicholson-Smith believes would be a terrible idea.
Nicholson-Smith took to social media to point out that since only 6 out of 15 teams makes the playoffs in each league, not team should be looking to blow everything up especially when they have a $250 million pay roll.
justification is, winning is way better than losing and when 6/15 teams make the playoffs you should never be looking to punt, especially when you can run a $250 million payroll... so the default should always be win unless you really & truly have zero shot. Jays have a shot
The MLB insider believes the only time a big market team should be a seller is when there is absolutely not hope or shot which he believes the Blue Jays still have.
