It has been hard to find bright spots through out this disappointing Toronto Blue Jays season, but by taking a chance on Ryan Yarbrough, their might be a light at the end of the tunnel.

The Toronto Blue Jays decided to take a chance on him by trading away Kevin Kiermaier to the Los Angeles Dodgers. But with his great play, the Blue Jays have the difficult task at resigning him.
Since coming over from the Dodgers, Yarbrough has been lights out on the mound, in 31.1 innings pitched, he holds a 2.01 ERA, .M<173 BAA and a 0.80 WHIP (Walks/hits per innings pitched). Since coming over from the Dodgers, he has improved greatly, where he previously held a 3.74 ERA and 5.17 FIP in 32 relief appearances.
Yarbrough since the trade:

2.01 ERA
31.1 IP
.173 BAA
0.80 WHIP
On top of inducing more weak contact, many of the balls put in play against Yarbrough have been on the ground, as he's reduced his line-drive and fly-ball rates while increasing his ground-ball rate to 48.5 per cent - up 11.1 per cent from his time with the Dodgers.

With his deal coming to end this offseason, he will have a good amount of leverage to want to test his value in the open market, but the Blue Jays need to make a push to try and sign him before there is a chance for that to happen. The Jays bullpen has been the weakest aspect of their team this season, and when you find an arm like his, you cannot pass it up.
