The Blue Jays had a massive win last night against the Orioles in which Yusei Kikuchi recorded his 700 career strikeout.
Kikuchi did not even know he had reached this personal achievement but teammate Vladimir Guerrero did which is why he decide to keep the ball for him after the play.
Guerrero spoke about the moment with a reporter after the game stating that him and Kikuchi are like brothers now.
"We're like brothers now"
- Vladimir Guerrero Jr on Yuse Kikuchi
Very cool moment that shows how close Kikuchi & Vladdy have become. Yusei didn't realize he'd just pitched his 700th career K. Vladdy made sure the ball got kept before it got lost or discarded! Great friendship!
Clearly Guerrero is more than just a great player, he is also a great friend and teammate to his fellow Blue Jays.
