The Seattle Mariners announced this morning that they have decided to DFA former Toronto Blue Jays second rounder Hagen Danner.
The Blue Jays drafted
Danner back in the second round of the 2017 draft but he never lived up to his full potential as he bounced around the minors for the majority of his time in Toronto making 1 appearance in the majors during the 2023 season.
Former Blue Jays pitcher Hagen Danner has been DFA'd by the Mariners
The 2025 season has not started how Danner wanted as he was DFA'd by the Blue Jays back in late December to make room on their 40 man roster which is when the Mariners acquired him by claiming him off waivers.
The Mariners announced this afternoon that they decided to DFA Danner and have selected Luis F. Castillo from Triple-A as their 40 man roster is now once full again with this transaction.

Hopefully Danner will get a shot somewhere else but there is a good chance that he just gets outrighted and is sent to the Mariners Triple-A affiliate team as he did not do enough to stick in the majors.
Some were surprised when the Blue Jays DFA'd him but it looks like they made the right move as the Mariners just did the same.
