One of the best Toronto Blue Jays of all-time Carlos Delgado is not in the Baseball Hall of Fame and fans still do not understand why.
Delgado fell of the Hall of Fame ballot in 2015 after only receiving 3.8% of votes while the minimum required to stay on the ballot is 5% which is why fans will not be able to see the legendary Blue Jay get into the Hall of Fame.

Fans have been pointing out for years that Delgado should be in the Hall of Fame and a fan recently pointed out on social media that if Yankees Giancarlo Stanton is set to be a lock for the Hall of Fame than Delgado should definitely be in. Delgado has pretty much put up better numbers across the board in his career and even though Stanton is not retired yet, many see Delgado as a more impactful player.
If Giancarlo Stanton is such a «lock» to be a HOFer. Then I want to see Carlos Delgado get in also.
I don't think he's a lock at all. Delgado was great, dude averaged 38 homers and 120 rbi. But he played in the steroid era and all those guys with big numbers are overlooked
many believe that the writers who get to vote for the Hall of Fame ballot often get it wrong which is why players such as Delgado are missing from the Hall of Fame.
If Stanton doesn't hit 500 HRs he's not getting in the HOF. Plain and simple. 500 HRs is like 3000 hits. You're getting in.

Apart from players who are not in the Hall of fame due to PEDs or are still ineligible due to not being retired for at least 5 years, Delgado is one of the few players to have over 400 career homeruns and not being elected in.
