New York Yankees superstar Juan Soto is set to hit free agency at the end of the season and his projected salary is lower than most expected which is great news for the Toronto Blue Jays.

The free agent market this winter will be one of the most talent groups in many years with all kinds of big hitters such as Juan Soto, Teoscar Hernandez, Anthony Santander and many more.
While Soto is set to be the number one target for most teams including the Blue Jays, it looks like his projected contract will be smaller than most originally thought it would be.

New York Yankees Juan Soto projected contract announced and it is lower than most expected

Most insiders and fans originally thought that Soto would be signing for anywhere between $550 to $650 million this winter with a contract of about 10 years which is no longer what insiders are projecting.
Sportrac's projected Soto's contract for this winter sits at $513.6 million for a total of 14 years which is great news for teams such as the Blue Jays that are trying to sign him this winter but also have a ton of other holes to fill.
Spotrac's projected free-agency market value for Juan Soto is 14-years $513.6M.

While the Blue Jays are not the front runners to land Soto this winter, they are definitely in the top teams that have a chance of signing him with the top two teams being the New York Yankees and New York Mets.
If the Blue Jays are somehow able to beat out these two teams they will likely have to come in with the biggest offer since he will not take a pay cut to come to Toronto after the season they had in 2024.
