Bo Bichette confirms during interview he will probably not be staying with the Toronto Blue Jays

Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette recently spoke in an interview about his contract negotiations after Vladimir Guerrero Jr signed his monster deal.
The Blue Jays just signed Guerrero to a monster $500 million contract on a 14 year term which locks him down for the rest of his career which is why eyes are now on Bo Bichette's extension.
Bo Bichette recently confirms that nothing is going on with the Blue Jays in terms of a contract extension
During Spring Training Bichette told the media that even though his contract was coming to an end, he had yet to hear from the Blue Jays on a possible extension which had many fans surprised.
This afternoon he spoke with reporter Hazel Mae who asked him if anything had changed to which he stated that his goal is to play with one team his whole career but as of right now the team has yet to present him anything.
Spoke to Bo Bichette about a possible extension of his own, and winning championships with Guerrero Jr.:
"has been my goal since I was a kid.. to be with one organization my whole career, and building a winning culture with Vladdy, but nothing's on the table right now"

This is not a good sign for fans that are hoping for Bichette to sign an extension since he is making it clear that if it was up to him he would stay but he cannot do that if he is not offered a deal.
Hopefully the Blue Jays figure out a way to find some money to at least sign him to a 3-4 year deal but with the way he is playing so far this season, it will likely be quite hard to land him on a discounted deal.
If the Blue Jays have yet to bring up any extension, there is likely a very good chance that they end up trading him at the deadline instead of losing him to free agency.
It will be interesting to see how this entire situation plays out throughout the season.
