The Toronto Blue Jays are still searching for that much needed offensive threat and it looks like Teoscar Hernandez might be that player according to ESPN's David Schoenfield.

The Blue Jays have been speaking of adding a hitter and ever since GM Ross Atkins stated that the he is interested in bringing Hernandez back to Toronto, rumors have been flying around.

Hernandez has stated at the end of the 2024 season that his top choice would be returning to the Los Angeles Dodgers but as negotiations seems to have stalled between the two, Toronto is starting to look like the top landing spot.
In a recent report, Schoenfield stated that he believes that the Blue Jays will land Hernandez on a three year deal worth $66 million paying him $22 million per season which would be a great deal for what he bring to the plate.

While Schoenfield listed the Dodgers as a potential landing spot for Hernández, he predicted the three-time Silver Slugger to ultimately sign with the Toronto Blue Jays. Schoenfield predicted a three-year, $66 million contract for Hernández. -Garcia

Landing Hernandez seems like a must for the Blue Jays offense as they have are in desperate needs of acquiring some help to make Vladimir Guerrero Jr's job easier as
they cannot win with only one solid hitter.
If the Blue Jays land Hernandez and can get Bo Bichette back to the player he was prior to the 2024 season, their offense can actually become one of the better ones in the AL East especially if they can see a rise in production from leadoff hitter George Springer as well.
While $22 million per season is a lot of money, they are currently playing Springer more than that per season and he was one of their worst players last season.
Ross Atkins needs to get this deal to happen.
