Blue Jays president and CEO Mark Shapiro says Ross Atkins will return as Blue Jays GM in 2025.
Fans have taken to social media to express their disgust and displeasure with the Mark Shapiro's decision to reup up up him again.

We kind of have to side here with the fans, When Ross Atkins too over the GM duties 9 years ago, he stated his main goal was to create a stock of MLB talent , draft good players and ultimately bring a championship back to the Toronto Blue Jays. In reality, the only thing you can give credit to him for is drafting Bo Bichette He truly has been the only player that has panned out fully.
"There won't be a change with Ross," Shapiro said. "The reason for that is, you know, the process that I went through to consider whether or not there would be a change with his role was one of both considering alternatives and looking at the work that's been done."
The Jays have not won a playoff games, let a lone a series since 2016 and are coming off their worst season in recent memory. Mark Shapiro did state that Atkins and the entire organization needs to be better overall.
"Ross needs to be better, I need to be better, our entire baseball operations need to be better," Shapiro said.
