Blue Jays are in trouble ...

In just more than two years, the Toronto Blue Jays fortunes have swung wildly. They were once top contenders for the American League East, now, they fight for a playoff spot. Their season hangs in the balance 1/4 of the way through the season, showing the need for a desperate turnaround

Blue Jays need significant reversal in form to avoid a more drastic renovation than the Rogers Centre.
According to FanGraphs, the Jays' current performance and upcoming schedule paint a bleak picture, making a playoff return seem unlikely.
Jays will need to go 72-53 just to get to the 89 wins that allowed them to get a road wild-card date last season. Thus, it's clearly not just required that they play marginally better than .500 ball the rest of the way.

Other than offense, the main area of concern that needs to be addressed is that of the bullpen. Tim Mayza and Nate Pearson are less than stellar and it is fair to say that say Jordan Romano has not been his shut-down best closer. The one stealing the show right now though isErik Swanson, who has a staggering 15.63 ERA and has given up four home runs in only six innings pitched.
According to Fangraphs, the Jays' odds to make the post-season have dipped to just 25.2%, making them essentially small sample size non-contenders.

If changes do not come soon, there will be many surprises and hearts broken at this year's deadline.
