The Blue Jays have announced that they have claimed RHP Jose Cuas off of waiver from the Cubs.
Cuas will now be optioned to Triple-A and begin his time in the Blue Jays organization with the Bisons.
ROSTER MOVE:
🔹 We've claimed RHP Jose Cuas off waivers from the Cubs and optioned him to Triple-A
The 30 year old pitcher has struggled this season in Chicago which is why he was released, putting up a 7.43ERA, in 13.1 innings with 14 strikeouts.
Hopefully by going down to Triple-A, Cuas will be able to regain some confidence and might be solid option for the Blue Jays down the line if their relievers continue to deal with injuries.
