Bob Nightengale releases major update regarding Vladimir Guerrero Jr and Toronto Blue Jays negotiations

The Toronto Blue Jays are still trying to close Vladimir Guerrero Jr and MLB insider Bob Nightengale just dropped a massive update regarding the negotiations.
The Blue Jays tried to push a $500 million offer right before Opening Day but unfortunately they were unable to get a deal done since apparently Guerrero was looking for a bigger average salary than the one offered.

Guerrero will by far be the best player available in free agency next off-season which he is very aware of which is why he is asking for so much from the Blue Jays to stop him from becoming a free agent.
MLB insider Bob Nightengale recently announced in an article that the Blue Jays are actually inching closer to closing a deal with Guerrero which would likely be around 14-15 years and will be worth more than $500 million.
."The Toronto Blue Jays continue to inch closer to signing Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to a contract extension, likely a 14- or 15-year deal worth about $500 million, which will be crucial for Blue Jays CEO Mark Shapiro's popularity in Toronto," Nightengale wrote.
It was believed by many that Guerrero would have no interest in negotiating once Spring Training began but it looks like the two parties have been in constant communication regarding a contract extension.
Earlier this year, reports stated that Guerrero Jr. and the Blue Jays ended contract negotiation talks once spring training started so Vladdy could focus on the season. However, a March 30 report from USA Today's MLB insider Bob Nightengale conveyed that this isn't necessarily the case. -Young
Fans are praying that Nightengale is right since the sooner the Blue Jays can lock in Guerrero, the quicker the team can begin to focus on the season instead of answering questions from the media regarding Guerrero's extension.
