Per MLB Pipeline, there are 50 top prospects that are libel to be signed during the international signing period, and it looks like the Toronto Blue Jays have found their guy.
On January 15th of every year, it marks an extremely important day for all the ball clubs in the league. It allows all 30 teams to go after and put pen to paper with International prospects from all over the world and add them to their system.
Major League baseball outs together a list of the 50 top prospects an available based on the same criteria used to draft players. By all accounts, The Toronto Blue Jays seem to have found their future shortstop in Christopher Polanco.
Born in San Crist�bal, the Monte Plata province in the Dominican Republic, the 16 year old SS comes from the same area that stars like Elly De La Cruz, Camilo Doval and Jose Siri are from. His smooth, effortless and powerful swing from the left side of the plate has brought a lot of attention as he is ranked 21st out of 50 top international prospects per the MLB.
