The Toronto Blue Jays are set to have a major off-season and could look at going after Baltimore Orioles right fielder Anthony Santander who is set to become a free agent after the post-season.

Santander put up career numbers this year with career highs across the board including 44 home runs, 102 RBIs, a .311 on base percentage and .821 OPS but it seems like most people do not have faith that he can do it again.
Insider Ben Nicholson-Smith stated that a lot of people see Santander as an average hitter that happened to have an incredible season this year and whoever decides to pay him this winter for his past season will likely be stuck with a major contract and a drop off in production.
"One thing I will say is buyer beware when it comes to Anthony Santander. Let's be honest, *this* was his career season. He's not a 40 HR bat. Kudos to him for timing it perfectly, but I would be wary about paying someone who's best season will be behind him"

Fans would love to see Santander in Toronto and despite this being his best season by far, he has still put up very good numbers in the past two seasons as well with 28 and 33 homeruns.
Yep but I think most front offices will know how to value him. He's a 30HR switch hitter yearly who likely won't age well in the field
33 28 44 since playing full time. I think it's safe to say he's a 30 hr bat plus a switch hitter
If the Blue Jays are able to get him for the going price of a 30 home run hitter, the deal would make a lot more sense than using comparable of a 40 home run hitter.
