Blue Jays closing in on trade to send Danny Jansen to the NL Central
The Blue Jays have made it clear that they will be trading away players on expiring contract come the trade deadline and one of their biggest interests is catcher Danny Jansen.
According to reports, Jansen has a ton of interests from multiple teams due to his skill at the plate, abilities as a catcher and his great $5.2 million contract.
Apparently the team with the most interest in landing Jansen is the Cubs, which if they end up trading for him, they will likely try to re-sign him as well.
Recent rumors revealed that the Chicago Cubs have expressed their desire to acquire the 29-year-old catcher for the stretch run.

Hopefully if the Blue Jays end up moving Jansen, they will get a solid return from the Cubs. Fans still do not understand why Toronto does not want to re-sign him but this late in the season without an extension, it is almost a guarantee he will be gone.
