The Toronto Blue Jays have dealt with injuries all year long and it seems to have ended the same way it began, with a few players being done for the year.
Will Wagner, Daulton Varsho and Bo Bichette all had their season's ended due to some serious injuries within a day or so of each other which put a huge holes in the Blue Jays lineup for the last 10 games of the season.
The Blue Jays announced that Wagner had successfully undergone surgery last week and will be ready to Spring Training in 2025.
Bichette has now fully healed from his calf injury but has been but while warming up for his second game back he fractured his finger. The Jays shortstop inn now travelling to Arizona to see a specialist before deciding what to do.
Varsho seems to be in the worst shape out of all the injuries as his right shoulder underwent surgery yesterday but due to the severity of the procedure, they are not able to tell how long his recovery will take. This is not good news for the Blue Jays outfield as he is a cornerstone to their defense.
#BlueJays injury updates to monitor this winter: -Daulton Varsho had right shoulder surgery today, per John Schneider. No report back yet on timeline or what exact repair was. -Bo Bichette travelling to AZ to see hand specialist before deciding best course of action for finger.
Hopefully Varsho is ready to Spring Training next march but this situation certainly does not look good, especially for a team that wants to compete for a World Series next season.
Fans were also worried by the fact that the team is keeping the information regarding Varsho's procedure in secret which has people wondering if it is worse than expected.
Yeah I'm sure the blue jays don't know what procedure he had was
