The Toronto Blue Jays announce quite the update regarding shortstop Bo Bichette who has been out since last week as he fractured his finger and will now need surgery.

Bichette was just flown in to Arizona to meet with a specialist to discuss the right course of action regarding his finger fracture after taking a ball off his hand while fielding in warms ups last week.
According to insider Ben Nicholas Smith, Bichette is set to have surgery on his middle finger after meeting the specialist and manager John Schneider stated that Bichette will be good to go come Spring Training.
Bo Bichette slated to get surgery on his fractured right middle finger after meeting with a specialist. The finger was displaced, leading to the procedure, but Bichette «should be good to go» for spring training per manager John Schneider.
Apparently the procedure will be to insert a pin in his finger to repair the fracture according to John Schneider. Blue Jays third base coach Carlos Febles will also be heading in for knee surgery at the same time as Bichette.

Blue Jays third base coach Carlos Febles also had surgery to repair a knee injury he suffered back in SF just before the all-star break.
Hopefully Bichette will be able to recover from the surgery rapidly as he spent the majority of this season injured and will hopefully be able to stay healthy next season.
The fact that Bichette will now need surgery will also drop is trading stock even more making it a high likelihood that he stays in Toronto over the winter.
