Despite being early in the season, Bleacher Reports Kerry Miller Has identified Toronto Blue Jays offseason signing Anthony Santander as MLB's biggest disappointment.

The Blue Jays organization had high hopes that Santander would be a great bat and give the Blue Jays more offence but just under 30 games so far this season, he has been less then ideal.

Miller feels Santander has been a major disappointment this season

«With the exception of a big three-run homer off Spencer Schwellenbach two weeks ago, though, Santander hasn't delivered in the slightest,» wrote Miller.
Santander had a 44-home run season last year with the Baltimore Orioles and was given a five year $92.5 million contract as the Blue Jays hoped he would give their offence a major jolt.
Along with Santander's extremely slow start the remainder of the Blue Jays offence has been brutal when it comes to home runs as they have only hit 15 so far this year which puts them at 29th in Major League Baseball.
The Blue Jays also hold 29th overall out of 30 when it comes to RBI which currently stands at 90 for the entire team.
The 30-year-old is currently hitting just .179 with three home runs while seeing his expected slugging and barrel rates plummet from a season ago. Santander has not come close to replicating his 2024 performance. Daniel Fox
This is exactly the type of pulled, hard-hit swing that #BlueJays need to see more of from Anthony Santander.

Blue Jays preparing for six game homestand at Rogers Centre

The Blue Jays are glad to be home after their disastrous road trip where they went 1-5 and we're only able to hit nine runs through six games which caused the team to lose and fall four games behind the New York Yankees in the American League East.
The Blue Jays will now take on the Boston Red Sox for a three-game series and then the Cleveland Guardians will come to town to closeout the rest of the homestand.
After a few days rest, the Blue Jays hope to have a reset of their gain from their starting pitching through their offence and their defence in hopes of finding their winning ways again and trying to get back to the top of their division.
Game one of the Red Sox series will take place on April 29th at 7:07 PM eastern.
