The Police reported this morning that Dodgers starting pitcher Walker Buehler was mugged in Los Angeles last week as thieves made off with his $100,000 watch.
Thieves surrounded Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Walker Buehler last month outside a horse racing track in a Los Angeles suburb and ripped an expensive watch off his arm, police said Tuesday. It came weeks after another professional athlete in California was the victim of a brazen mugging. -Ding
Buehler was not threatened during the mugging Sept. 28 at the Santa Anita Park horse racing track in Arcadia, police there said. They are investigating two similar episodes the same day that officials say were by organized groups who steal high-end watches in large crowds during events. -Ding
Buehler was robbed just one day after ending his regular season as he relaxed and prepared for the playoffs as the Dodgers had a secured a spot in the National League Division Series in which they are currently taking on the Padres.
The police have yet to arrest the people that committed this crime in Los Angeles as they is still an on going investigation as they try to make arrests and retrieve the valuable piece of jewelry taken.
Walker Buehler was reportedly robbed by a mob in a Santa Anita park and lost his watch to them worth over $100,000.
Buehler is set to pitch in a massive NLDS Game 3 tomorrow for the Dodgers, you just hate to see something like this go down.
