The Detroit Tigers have been putting the Toronto Blue Jays to shame with their play recently as both teams had the same record on August 10th, 55-63.
On August 10th, the Tigers and Blue Jays both had a 0.2% of making it to the post-season, the Blue Jays saw it as impossible and gave up while the Tigers buckled down and are now headed to the American League division series.
The Tigers just took out the Astros in 2 straight games in the Wild Card round and are now set to take on the Cleveland Guardians in the ALDS who are coming off an incredible season that no one expected.
The Tigers are fresh off slaying an October behemoth in their sweep of the Houston Astros and will look to continue their improbable run. Meanwhile, the Guardians and their imposing bullpen are well-rested with what will be nearly a week between games. -Singh

One of the most crucial pieces to the Tigers success has been their bullpen which has been arguably the best one in the entire MLB over the last couple of month while the Blue Jays bullpen cost them games for the entire season.
While some of the responsibility on the Blue Jays poor season falls on the players, the Tigers success proves how much the front office and coaches have to do with it as well since they need to be able to put the players into the right situations to win.
The Tigers are headed into the division series with a true shot at the World Series if they can continue to dominate while the Blue Jays will be starting to look at free agency plans.
