Since last years All-Star Game, Elly De La Cruz has struck out an ungodly amount of times. Even though that is the trend in baseball right now is too be all power and no-contact, with a lot of strikeouts. As a player who relies a lot on his speed, striking does nothing for the team, he doesn't even have chance to beat out a tough groundball if he isn't making contact.

This year, Elly De La Cruz has a slash line of .256 /.346/.483 with an OPS of .830. He made it to this years all star game not based on his contact or batting average but based of the amount of home runs and RBI's. If he manages to bring up his avg, he could be one of the best players in the league.
