44 year old politician steps in as minor league emergency pitcher

Iowa State Representative J.D Scholten received an interesting call Saturday night as he was asked to step in as an emergency pitcher for the Sioux Falls Explorers.
Scholten ended up pitching a solid game for the Explorers, pitching for 6.2 innings while throwing 100 pitches and striking out 2 batters in a 11-2 win.
Ok, I have heard a lot of insane Indy ball stories, but pulling a 44-year-old politician off the campaign trail to throw 6.2 quality innings on 3 hours notice is UP THERE
The Iowa Representative played for the Explorers between 2003-2007 before deciding to go full time into politics.
This is one of the most unbelievable stories to happen when it comes to a team calling up an emergency pitcher.
