The Toronto Blue Jays have filled up a few more of their positions in the front-office as they have hired David Bell as their new assistant GM/ Vice President of baseball operations.
The Blue Jays parted ways with a ton of coaches and staff members at the end of the 2024 season as they were looking to switch things up in which they have started to fill out slow positions slowly throughout the off-season.
The Blue Jays hire David Bell as their new assistant GM/ VP of baseball operations
The Blue Jays announce moments ago that they have hired David Bell as their new assistant GM and Vice President of baseball operations for the 2025 season according to Shi Davidi and ben Nicholson-Smith.
Congratulations to David Bell, who is being hired by the Toronto Blue Jays as their new vice president/baseball operations and assistant GM, per @bnicholsonsmith and @ShiDavidi . Bell, dismissed in September by the Cincinnati Reds after 6 years as manager, is widely considered as one of the nicest, most genuine people in the game.
While Bell does not have any experience as a assistant GM or VP of baseball operations, he has been around the game of baseball for a long time as both a player and a manager and could definitely help Ross Atkins moving forward.
