The Toronto Blue Jays have been enjoying their 2025 season as their strong start continues and the team may look to a veteran reliever who can help continue the great play from the bullpen.

Several MLB.com contributors have revealed that the Blue Jays may look at right-hander Dillon Tate from Buffalo AAA to be recalled to the Blue Jays to help strengthen their pitching staff.

Tate offers experience that could help improve the Blue Jays Bullpen

It's been noted that some of the Blue Jays younger pitchers in or Elvis Martinez and Jake Bloss have not had good innings with Buffalo they look at Tate as an option who can help reinforce the much-improved bullpen.
In 2024 with both the Orioles and Blue Jays, he totaled a 2.08 ERA in the minors. To kick things off this campaign, he has yet to allow a run in five innings of work. Nick Ziegler

The 30-year-old reliever who was selected by the Texas Rangers in 2015, first round 4th overall has had a career seven wins along with an ERA of 4.09 with 9 saves and 170 strikeouts he also has a WHIP of 1.17.

Blue Jays ready for the Mariners in next series

The Blue Jays will remain at Rogers Centre for their next series against the Seattle Mariners after they took two games out of three against the Atlanta Braves.
After a slow offensive start in game one where the Jays lost 8-4, the team managed to win 6-3 and then 3-1 to closeout the series.
Alan Roden hit his first home run of his professional career and Blue Jays star Anthony Santander hit his second home run of the season and first at Rogers Centre.
Vladimir Guerrero junior also broke his home run slump where he hit a home run during the 3-1 win in game 3.
The Blue Jays are currently one game back of the New York Yankees and have a record of 11-8 and have 1-2 games in a row and six of their last 10.
Game one against the Mariners will take place on April 18th and game time will be 7:07 PM eastern.
