Toronto Blue Jays GM Ross Atkins seems to be continuously putting them in trouble this off-season as both their backup option for Corbin Burnes, Sean Manaea and Walker Buehler has signed elsewhere.
The Blue Jays have been in contact with Corbin Burnes but despite them having the biggest offer on the table for him, he has yet to sign as he would prefer signing with the Giants if they could raise their offer.

The Blue Jays have been vocal about wanting to bring in a starting pitcher this off-season with Burnes been their top priority but with him still holding out on their offer it does not look promising.
Toronto did have a couple backup options if Burnes ended up signing elsewhere with pitchers Sean Manaea and Walker Buehler but they both signed yesterday putting the Blue Jays in some serious trouble.
Buehler ended up signing with the Boston Red Sox on a great deal for one year worth $21.05 million which could have been a solid contract for the Blue Jays.

While Manaea is headed back to the New York Mets on a 3 year deal worth $75 million which will pay the pitcher $25 million per season.

Blue Jays fans were quite upset with the signings as the Blue Jays could have easily afforded both of these deals but have decided to wait to see where Burnes will go.
