Toronto Blue Jays are reportedly interested in a reunion with catcher Danny Jansen

The Toronto Blue Jays might be lined up for a reunion with catcher Danny Jansen as they need a partner for Alejandro Kirk despite Ross Atkins stating they are happy with their current duo.
The Blue Jays traded Jansen at the trade deadline this year to the Boston Red Sox as he was on an expiring contract and while Kirk did an incredible job in the second half of the season, brining Jansen back would be a solid move.

General manager Ross Atkins has mentioned at the end of the year press conference that the front office are currently happy with their catcher duo of Kirk and Tyler Heineman.
Despite that, there has been reports since that the Blue Jays could be interested in bringing Jansen back since he is one of the best catchers available are clearly pairs very well with Kirk.
Jansen and Alejandro Kirk paired together perfectly behind the plate. Typically, teams have one clear cut starting catcher and a backup who either hits for power or plays well above-average defense behind the dish. Very rarely do you find two catchers who both can hit and both can play defense like these two did. -Treuden
The Blue Jays have very few options in terms of catchers in the organization especially after Brian Serven decided to enter minor league free agency which would make it a bad move from Atkins not to take a look at Jansen during free agency.
Even if the Blue Jays do not end up signing Jansen, they should most definitely look into signing another catcher even if he ends up in Triple-A because if injuries show up, they will be in serious trouble.
