The Toronto Blue Jays announced that rookie outfielder Alan Roden has decided to switch his number for the 2025 season.
Roden was one of the Blue Jays best players in Spring Training which is how the young player battled his way onto the team's Opening Day roster pushing players with more experience out of the way.

Roden came in to camp with some high expectations after what he did in the minors last year and he continued to build off of that after an incredible camp landing himself a bench spot for the start of the season.
The Blue Jays announced that Roden has decided to wear number 18 this season after having worn number 83 all Spring Training which is a classic random rookie number.

Despite going into his rookie season, the Blue Jays have high hopes for Roden this year which John Schneider stated that the team has a lot of trust in him and believe that he could be an impact player for them this season.
