The Toronto Blue Jays have named their new scouting director to replace Shane Farrell as they promoted from within the organization giving Marc Tramuta the job.
Most fans thought the Blue Jays would hire from the outside in hopes of bringing in some new ideas but it looks like they have chosen to promote within the organization as Tramuta joined the Blue Jays last October.

Tramuta was the scouting director for the New York Mets for 6 years before leaving the organization to join the Blue Jays in a different role but it looks like he will be returning to that role as the Blue Jays have named them their new scouting director.

The new Blue Jays scouting director has a big job in front of him as he will now have to help rebuild their failing farm system who ranked 24th in the MLB at the end of the 2024 season.
The Blue Jays have a chance at landing the 1st overall pick in the 2025 MLB draft and if not will end up with a very high draft pick which puts a ton of pressure on Tramuta to perform right off the bat.
Welcome Marc. You have 8 months to prepare for one of the biggest drafts in Blue Jays history.
Hopefully the Blue Jays decision to hire from within ends up paying off as if not fans will let them hear it.
