The Toronto Blue Jays announced last night that they have signed former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Kevin Gowdy to a contract.
The Blue Jays have yet to make any big moves so far this season as the only signing they have made so far are minor league deals while they seem to be waiting to see where free agent Juan Soto decides to go before making moves.

News was announced last night that right handed pitcher Kevin Gowdy and the Blue Jays have agreed to a one year minor league contract that also includes a major league Spring Training invitation.

The Blue Jays also confirmed that they agreed on a minor league deal with infielder Michael Stefanic but that news was announced a couple days ago.

Gowdy has been with the Dodgers organization for the past two years but has yet to see the Major Leagues as he spent last season in Triple-A where he pitched 51.1 innings with a 4.38 ERA and 45 strikeeouts.
Gowdy elected free agency on Nov. 4 after spending the previous two seasons in the Dodgers' Minor-League system. The 27-year-old has yet to appear in the Majors after being drafted in the second round by the Phillies in the 2016 Draft -MLB.com
This is an interesting move since Gowdy is 27 years old and has never had an ERAA below 4.00 in professional baseball but the Blue Jays seem to believe he is worth taking a shot at.
