Why should Toronto really consider a player who has such a low OBP, OPS and batting average? His offensive potential is still alive, and since being in the MLB, despite this season's struggles, he is a very good hitter.
Last year, he hit 12 home runs, 68 RBI, scored 58 runs, and had a slash line of .313/.353/.460 with an .813 OPS. These number are nothing to sniff at, and if the Jays can get him for a good deal, there is no reason why they shouldn't consider picking him up.
