Blue Jays George Springer has been having an incredibly terrible season and spoke to reporters after the win this afternoon about how he has been playing.
Springer is clearly far from the player he once was and the number prove it as he has a .198 batting average with a .291 OBP.
Despite the awful results Springer said he still believes in himself even though he knows he has been playing poorly this season and not holding up his end of the bargain.
«At the end of the day, results are key. I understand that. I will own the fact that I have not held up my end of the bargain,» Springer said from his locker at Rogers Centre. «For me, it's about what gets preached in here, which is to do something that helps us win every single day. You can't try to hit a five-run homer. You can't try to gain all of it back in a day.»
